Thank You, Mom!

She is no-nonsense; you never wonder where you stand with her. She is one of the most capable people I know, an excellent problem solver. Everything she does is at an expert level of near perfection: gardening, cooking, cleaning, sewing, and canning. I’m not sure there was ever anything that she wouldn’t try to fix or solve.

She is in my corner and wants nothing but the best. She is willing to say difficult, honest things and is always my softest place to land.

I honor the woman who sacrificed selflessly to create a secure home and idyllic childhood memories. As an adult, she has been a confidant and mentor.

On this International Women’s Day, I honor my mom; I hope I have raised daughters who follow in your footsteps, knowing who they are and constantly pushing the limits of their abilities—women who are strong and compassionate and love with their whole hearts.
